About us
An independent, free guide to assistance programs
Helping Hands Alliance is a private company and an independent information service — not a government agency. We built this because finding assistance programs is confusing, scattered across dozens of agencies and websites. We bring that public information together in one place, for free.
What we do
- Organize public information about federal, state, and nonprofit programs by state and category.
- Explain in plain language who each program is generally for.
- Provide each program’s official phone number and website so you can apply directly, yourself.
- Answer general questions by phone and point you to the official source — we never apply for you.
- Maintain a directory of verified, free, confidential hotlines.
What we don’t do
- We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with any.
- We do not store, prepare, or distribute food — we are not a food establishment or food bank.
- We do not transmit, hold, or handle money — we are not a money transmitter or money services business.
- We do not offer debt management, debt settlement, or credit repair — we are not a debt-relief or credit-counseling firm.
- We do not give financial, legal, medical, or tax advice.
- We do not submit applications on your behalf or determine your eligibility.
- We do not charge you to use our service, and we never sell your personal information.
How we’re different from government sites
Government websites are the official source — and we always send you to them to apply. The difference is that they’re built agency by agency: food on one site, housing on another, health somewhere else, each with its own rules and login. If you don’t already know a program exists, it’s hard to find. We sit one step before that: a single, plain-language starting point that helps you figure out which programs to pursue, then hands you the official details to apply directly. We’re a map, not a gatekeeper.
Who we are
Helping Hands Alliance is operated by ORAFARMING LLC, a private company. Our information service is free to the people who use it — we do not charge you to browse the site, speak with an agent, or be pointed to a program. We have no affiliation with, and receive no payment from, the government programs listed here.
